Hi,

what are the differences/use cases/intentions of the four android-4.9
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9>* branches on
https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/ ?

There are

android-4.9 <https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9>
android-4.9-o
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9-o>
android-4.9-o-release
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9-o-release>
android-4.9-eas-dev
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9-eas-dev>

What are the differences between them? Which branch is intended for what?

The -release seems to have stopped, so most probably it freezes the kernel
released for O? But both, android-4.9
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9> and
android-4.9-o
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.9-o> seem to be
continuously updated, but with different content?

I couldn't find any documentation for this. In case I missed it just link
me to it.

Best regards

Dirk
